My grandparents have never shyed away from making sure we have what we need. When we were growing up at least once a year when we visited, Poppy would go shopping with us and buy us new tennis shoes. He was serious about us always having a good pair of shoes! And usually at the end of the visit, he'd try to sneak some money into my mom's purse. She usually found it before we left and she'd put it back in his wallet. Always a sweet game they played.
When my grandma came to visit, she got a few things for the kids and put some money towards a new couch for my sister (since she's had a busted futon forever) and told us that she'd buy Kaden's toddler bed. Well, since we ended up being offered a toddler bed for free, she's just going to send us the same amount of money she gave my sister. Not only will we have the toddler bed, but we can buy two mattresses (one for Kaden, one for the baby) and new bedding for both. Since we really don't need much else besides new bottles and whatever clothes, it's a big relief. I've been using that word a lot lately. Relief. A good word to have to use!
I've picked out a few options for bedding for both genders. And I've only looked at Walmart so far. I'll end up looking at Target and Babies R Us too. So many cute and precious options too. A lot of bold colors which is great. Usually it's all pastel and faint. Now we just have to wait another month to find out what it is!
